Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the company will push the controversial “Full Autonomous Driving” (FSD) update based on personal driving data, and promise to provide more autonomous driving features in the latest version. .On Thursday, Musk tweeted that FSD Beta 10.0.1 has been pushed to a group of specific car owners and plans to be more widely available starting September 24.

Car owners who have paid for FSD (currently $10,000) will get the beta software through a “beta request button”. Musk wrote in a tweet that drivers who choose the beta version of the software will be asked to be allowed to use Tesla’s insurance calculator to access their driving behavior. Musk wrote: “If the driving behavior is good within seven days, you will be granted beta permissions.”

The current standard configuration of Tesla vehicles is an autonomous driving assistance system called Autopilot. If users are willing to pay an additional $10,000, they can upgrade to “Fully Autonomous Driving” (FSD), and Musk promises to provide fully automated driving in the future.

The latest FSD test version should be able to achieve autonomous driving on highways and city streets. However, this is still a secondary driver assistance system that requires the driver’s attention, hands on the steering wheel, and control at any time. A recently released video shows the owner’s experience with this beta version of the software, with different descriptions of its capabilities. In some videos, the vehicle can handle city driving; in many other videos, because it missed a turn, was too close to the roadside, did not crawl forward, and in one case, suddenly turned to a pedestrian, and finally was controlled by the driver to avoid a car accident.
