A few days ago, according to foreign media reports, in late July,The first batch of 100 BYD Don EVs has been shipped from Shanghai to Drammen Port, Norway, and is expected to be delivered to local users in September.According to the plan, BYD will deliver 1,500 new cars in the Norwegian market this year (2021).The BYD Tang EV that landed in Norway this time is priced at 599,900 Norwegian kroner (approximately 440,000 yuan). For reference, the Tang EV currently on sale in China is priced at RMB 279,500 to RMB 314,800.

As the first model of BYD’s passenger cars going overseas, the 2021 Tang EV has been customized in configuration according to local Norwegian regulations and needs, so that its safety, technology, design and other aspects meet the needs of European users.

The appearance of the new car continues the Dragon Face family design language, and the interior adopts the S-class embracing luxury smart flagship cockpit, and is equipped with a 7-seat layout.

The biggest highlight of the new car is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate blade battery with a battery capacity of 86.4KWh. Depending on the model version, the cruising range under NEDC operating conditions is 505km or 565km optional, and the fastest acceleration of 0-100km/h is only 4.6 s.

It is understood that BYD cooperates with RSA, a leading distributor in Northern Europe, to provide local end consumers with integrated services such as marketing, sales, after-sales and parts supply.

As the first Chinese brand to achieve one million new energy vehicles off the assembly line, this shipment marks the official deployment of BYD’s new energy passenger car business in the European market. Norway has become BYD’s first stop to enter the European pure electric passenger car market. A new journey of optimised travel.
