2021 season: the year to frame for Toyota in motorsport

In the FIA ​​World Cup Rally Cross-Country Nasser Al-Attiyah, flanked by the navigator Mathieu Baumel, won the world title for the third time with Toyota and the first with Toyota Gazoo Racing, also aboard the Hilux 4×4.

The crew have won four of the six rounds that make up the 2021 World Cup, choosing to miss two rounds due to other sporting commitments. They finished their championship in style, winning the final stage of the Hail International Rally with a lead of 1 minute and 15 seconds.

2021 was also the year that saw the birth of the Gazoo Racing Italy Team, which immediately embraced the principles and values ​​of the international team. The organization of the GR Yaris Rally Cup has found an immediate success, among professionals and not, with the next season already confirmed and which will reserve several surprises, both on a technical and competitive level. Precisely for the success of the Trophy, the Tgr Italy Team was awarded the prestigious Casco d’Oro (the Oscars of Motorsport awarded by Aci and Autosprint) in the usual ceremony which was held last December 18th at the Automobile Club of Milan.

Toyota already in the race for 2022

Toyota Gazoo Racing opens the 2022 season with the Dakar. The event will mark the debut of the new Toyota Gr Dkr Hilux T1 +, with Nasser Al-Attiyah looking to take his fourth overall win in the competition.
