by admin

ROME (ITALPRESS) – There are 3,410 meals that, thanks to the “Always open to donate” initiative, launched in December at a national level, by McDonald’s, its franchisees, the Ronald McDonald Children’s Foundation and Banco Alimentare, were donated overall between the provinces of Salerno and Potenza. In particular, 1,810 meals are distributed in Salerno. The recipients of the social initiative are the “L’Abbraccio” Association and the “Filotea” Association, which take care of bringing comfort to people and families in difficulty. In addition, 1,600 meals were donated to the Mother Teresa of Calcutta Foundation in Potenza. “It is a very difficult period in which it is important to recognize ourselves in the common sense of solidarity, assistance and help to the most fragile or in greater economic and social difficulty – underlines Luigi Snichelotto, McDonald’s partner for the provinces of Salerno and Potenza – With this initiative we seek to give our contribution. I would like to deeply thank the teams and volunteers involved, who have allowed the project to materialize “. The solidarity initiative launched at national level in December had the objective of donating, by the end of March 2021, 100 thousand hot meals to the most vulnerable people. A milestone not only achieved, but also exceeded, with over 140 thousand total meals distributed. McDonald’s, at the end of the project, also donated 47 thousand euros to Banco Alimentare for the purchase of equipment for the conservation of fresh food recovered from the food chain.
