The African export-import bank (Afreximbank), in collaboration with the Grand Africa initiative (Gain), a pan-African non-governmental organization that supports young Africans through training, empowerment, mentoring and advocacy, has launched a competition for a program called “ Gain-Afreximbank Masterclass” offering training on entrepreneurship and intra-African trade.

The call, announced with an official press release from Afreximbank, is aimed at young entrepreneurs of African origin aged between 20 and 45 who have owned a business on the continent that has been active for at least two years. Candidates are also required to have a good knowledge of the English language and the availability of a stable internet connection and electricity.

The Masterclass, which will begin this March, will last six weeks during which the 300 selected young people will acquire skills on how to create and grow their own businesses by exploiting the intra-African market. They will receive technical advice, practical training and business advice from a panel of international experts. The program aims to strengthen inclusiveness in the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (Afcfta).
