Africa: logistics, Niamey chooses Lomé to the detriment of Benin

The Afro-Western press is giving house to the Nigerian authorities’s provision concerning the transport of products from the port of Lomé, in Togo.

To verify the great relations with the Togolese management, opposite to the continuing disaster with that of Benin, it was determined by the Ministry of Transport of Niger that the loading of products from Lomé to Niamey will likely be reserved completely for autos registered in Niger and Togo.

Colonel Major Salissou Mahaman Salissou, secretary common of the ministry, confused that these measures are in accordance with the bilateral settlement on street transport between Niger and Togo.

The press launch additionally recommends that, in case of excessive demand, solely vehicles registered in Burkina Faso, Mali and Ghana can take part within the transport of those items

This resolution is available in a context of tensions on the border between Benin and Niger, which is presently closed.
