by admin

FAENZA (ITALPRESS) – Specialization, innovation and investments in cutting-edge technologies: the 2021 campaign of the Agrintesa cherries, a cooperative from Faenza active in fruit and vegetables, kicks off under positive auspices. Approximately 24,000 quintals of product are expected to be processed in the renovated plant in Castelfranco Emilia (MO) where Agrintesa has recently completed the doubling of the optical calibration and selection lines produced by Unitec that use Cherry Vision 3.0 technology, the best available on the market. “Thanks to the very high specialization of our members and the constant investments in product and process innovation, cherries represent an excellence for Agrintesa that distinguishes us on the market”, comments the general manager Cristian Moretti. “Today, thanks to the results achieved and the appreciation by the market and customers, we have made a further important investment, doubling the calibration and selection lines and updating the system to the latest Cherry Vision 3.0 technology: a further leap in quality. which will allow us to reach 80 quintals / hour of processed cherries while continuing to guarantee our customers and consumers a product of excellent quality “, he adds. For Agrintesa cherries represent one of the founding products: “They have been part of our DNA since the beginning – explains Moretti – also thanks to the realities that have merged into our cooperative, such as Emilia Frutta. Today our land register area is 380 hectares cultivated by highly specialized producers: mostly located in the Modena area of Vignola, they can boast the IGP brand, now considered by the consumer a real brand at national level and synonymous with excellence. The remaining productions are located in Romagna, especially in the area Faenza, where a very high level cherry growing is developing more and more. We look with optimism at the 2021 campaign – concludes Moretti -. Although, due to the frosts, production cannot be considered full, the volumes are higher than those of last year and we are sure that the technological investment made will be a prerequisite for our main objective: to guarantee good res services to our members, as we have done over the years, and continue to be a reference for the national cherry market “.
