Aigis Banca in liquidation, the assets pass to Ifis

Aigis Banca was placed in compulsory administrative liquidation by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The Bank of Italy, which appointed the liquidator, approved the sale of its assets, liabilities and legal relationships to Banca Ifis. As part of the intervention, the Interbank Fund will make available resources for a total of 48.8 million, an amount that includes the cash allocation for carrying out the compulsory administrative liquidation (1.2 million euros) and the issue of guarantees on the loan portfolio (€ 9 million). “With this operation, the Fund, with a spirit of responsibility, once again provided its contribution to safeguard the banking company, to protect depositors and other creditors, avoiding disruptive solutions”, underlines the president, Salvatore Maccarone.
