Ala, one of the main global players in the offer of integrated logistics services and in the distribution of products and components for the aeronautical and aerospace industry, has announced that, through the French subsidiary Ala France, it has signed a multi-year framework agreement with Dassault Aviation for the provision of a service provider service. In detail, Ala will design, develop and manage a brand new logistics platform dedicated to the total management and distribution of the Class C components needed by Dassault Aviation for the production and assembly of aircraft.
The new Ala France logistics platform will be based in Pessac, in the immediate vicinity of the French manufacturer’s plant in Merignac, Bordeaux. The latter site joins the Ala regional headquarters and distribution center in Toulouse.
“Of the negotiations that led to the signing of the contract in question, Ala has already disclosed during the admission to trading phase. The start of activities is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022”, reads a note. As for the further contract with the customer of the rail sector whose negotiations in progress had been anticipated in the admission document, the company further explains, the issuer specifies that the negotiations are still in progress and, at present, it is reasonable to assume the launch of commercial activities in the first half of 2022.
