All the new Michelin starred restaurants 2022 Italy

Multi-starred Italian catering. In the 67 edition of the Michelin Guide Italy 2022, 378 starred restaurants stand out with two new entries and 33 novelties while all 11 three-star restaurants have been confirmed. The number of restaurants that “deserve a detour” has risen to 38. Among all the regions Campania stands out with 8 new stars and the presence of two new two-star Michelin restaurants: one of these is the Tre Olivi restaurant in Paestum, which has gone from zero to two stars. Among the novelties are the sixteen restaurants run by chefs aged 35 or under and five chefs are under 30. The event was led by Fjona Cakalli with the participation of Federica Pellegrini who, as Michelin Ambassador, announced the 17 restaurants to which the inspectors awarded the Michelin Green Star for sustainability. The total number of restaurants with a green star thus rises to 30. In the ranking of stars by region, Lombardy maintains its leadership thanks to 56 restaurants and 4 new starred restaurants. Campania with 7 new entries, on the other hand, conquers the annual record of novelties by conquering second place with 48 restaurants. Piedmont sees a novelty and 45 restaurants and falls on the lowest step of the podium while with a new entry and 41 restaurants, Tuscany is in fourth position ahead of Veneto which, compared to the total of 36, is the second most awarded region of 2022 thanks to 5 new starred restaurants in the guide.
Among the provinces, Naples is confirmed first by posting with 30 restaurants followed by Rome in second position with 20 and then by Bolzano third with 19 restaurants ahead of Cuneo with 18. Milan slips into fifth position with 16 starred restaurants.

In the Michelin 2022 Guide, the signs with three macarons offer a cuisine that is “worth the trip”, and the selected restaurants are: Piazza Duomo in Alba (CN), Da Vittorio in Brusaporto (BG), St. Hubertus, in San Cassiano ( BZ), Le Calandre in Rubano (PD), Dal Pescatore in Canneto Sull’Oglio (MN), Osteria Francescana in Modena, Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, La Pergola in Rome, Reale in Castel di Sangro (AQ), Mauro Uliassi in Senigallia (AN) and Enrico Bartolini at MUDEC in Milan. 4 special prizes were awarded: • MICHELIN YOUNG CHEF PRIZE 2022 by Lavazza, awarded to Solaika Marrocco, Primo Ristorante, Lecce • MICHELIN SALA SERVICE AWARD 2022 by Intrecci – Higher Education of the Hall, assigned to Matteo Zappile of the Il Pagliaccio restaurant, Rome • MICHELIN CHEF MENTORE AWARD 2022 by Blancpain, awarded to Nadia Santini, restaurant dal Pescatore, Canneto sull’Oglio (MN) • MICHELIN SOMMELIER AWARD 2022 by Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino, awarded to Sonia Egger, Kupperlain restaurant, Castelbello (BZ) .
