Allianz, new coup in China: it will be the only foreigner in the Life segment

Allianz reaches an important milestone in one of the key markets for the future development of the insurance sector. The German giant has announced that it will be the first Life company to operate in China with wholly foreign shareholders. This is thanks to the fact that the Shanghai Regulatory Bureau of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission has authorized Citic Trust to transfer the 49% held in Allianz China Life, the joint venture opened in 1999, to Allianz (China) Insurance Holding.
