Alpine, the electric era starts in 2025 with a sporty crossover

by admin

Alpine gets to the heart of the Renaulution plan defined by Luca de Meo, CEO of the Renault group, and announces the first of its three electric models. It is a crossover, currently defined only as GT, which will see the light in 2025. The other two will be a compact car and the heir of the current 110 sports car and will arrive soon after, or in 2026.

The new model will combine Alpine know-how in the world of racing and the Renault group’s experience in electric vehicles, combining it with the brand’s traditional excellence in sports cars. The introduction of the 100% electric GT crossover will involve investments in the Dieppe site in Normandy, now renamed Jean Rédélé in honor of the founder of Alpine, to be able to accommodate the very recent CMF-EV electrical architecture, as well as the new systems necessary to produce cars with new contents and equipment for this market segment.

The news was given by Luca de Meo in Dieppe in the presence of the French Minister of Economy, Finance and Recovery Bruno La Maire, Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi and Alpine F1 Team driver Esteban Ocon.
