ROMA – Amazon hires. The e-commerce giant is looking for the women and men who will allow it to set foot in the “space economy”. A trillion dollar deal. Tests show that subscribers will be able to surf at a speed of up to 400 megs per second as the ability to download words, images, videos from the Net. They will obviously need an antenna on the roof of the house or on the balcony to receive the signal. But as Linkem’s experience teaches, the antenna doesn’t have to be bulky. The one of Amazon it will be 30 centimeters wide.

Amazon’s project – 10 billion investment in the internet coming from the sky – is coming to a head, as a new hiring campaign demonstrates. Right now, they are available 194 jobs indefinitely. The hires will join the 500 people already working on the project. Amazon is targeting above all experts in hardware (116) and software (40) development.

Engineers are, therefore, the most sought after professionals. We are talking about graduates in Electrical Engineering, Applied Engineering, Network Engineering and Mechanics. FPGA programming and PCB printed circuit professionals are also required. In the sights of Amazon geniuses of artificial intelligence and algorithms; but also responsible for purchases, supplies, human resources.

Work locations, of course, in the United States: work will be carried out in particular between Redmond (Washington), Sunnyvale and San Diego (California), New York and Austin, Texas. Amazon requires presence in the office. But four positions also allow work from home.

To transfer its satellites into orbit – at a distance that will reach 630 kilometers from Earth – Amazon has identified a first taxi service. The satellites will travel aboard the Atlas V rocket which made 100 percent of its missions successful.

Atlas V missions are 85 at the moment. The most famous allowed to deposit the Perseverance Rover on Mars. The rocket is owned by the United Launch Alliance (ULA). The contract between Amazon and the United Launch Alliance (ULA) includes 9 launches of Atlas.
