ROME (ITALPRESS) – At the end of March 2021, the national collective agreements in force for the economic part (30 contracts) concern 21.5% of employees – about 2.7 million – and a total salary of 22.3% of the total. Istat notes it. During the first quarter of 2021, eight contracts were received: ceramics, maritime transport, telecommunications, newspaper publishing, industrial laundry, tanning, editorial graphics and port services. The contracts that are awaiting renewal at the end of March 2021 amount to 43 and involve approximately 9.7 million employees – 78.5% of the total – with a total salary of 77.7%, they are 300 thousand workers less than the figure at the end of December. In March 2021, the average renewal waiting time for workers with an expired contract, compared to March 2020, increased both for workers with an expired contract (from 13.9 to 22.6 months) and for all employees (11.2 to 17.7 months). The average hourly wage, compared to the first quarter of 2020, grew by 0.7%. The hourly contractual wages index is unchanged compared to February 2021 and increased by 0.6% compared to March 2020. In particular, the trend increase was 0.9% for industrial employees, by 0, 6% for those of private services and it was zero for those of the public administration. The sectors with the highest trend increases are those of credit and insurance (+ 2.0%), wood, paper and printing (+ 1.8%) and construction (+ 1.6%). On the other hand, the increase was nil for the textile, clothing and leather processing, chemical industries, commerce, private pharmacies, telecommunications and public administration sectors.
