Audi e-tron 55 quattro now has 20 km more range thanks to the software update

The Audi e-tron 55 quattro is now able to travel up to 446 kilometers (Wltp homologation cycle) in 100% electric mode thanks to the software update that can be installed free of charge from Audi Service Partners.

What the update includes

The update mainly affects the capacity of the high-voltage battery: with an unchanged nominal value of 95 kWh, the energy actually usable goes from 83.6 to 86.5 kWh.
In addition, the upgrade has also improved the action of the electric motor, favoring a reduction in energy losses. And, in addition to this, there is also the refinement of the thermal management of the powertrain and the flow rate.

Audi e-tron: founder of the largest electric range in the world

Launched in 2018, the Audi e-tron was the first full electric car of the brand with the four rings, followed in 2020 by the coupĆ© version of the Audi e-tron Sportback and the related S sports variants, the world‘s first mass production cars equipped with three engines electrical.
Production takes place at the carbon neutral site in Brussels, where the threshold of 100,000 units was already passed in the spring of this year.
There are five models available in fifteen technical configurations.
The maximum powers are 313 and 408 hp with a range that reaches 446 km (Wltp cycle). The charging powers reach 150 kW in direct current (Dc) and in less than half an hour it is possible to have 80% of the autonomy.
