In March, Australia’s PMI manufacturing index rose to 57.3 points, up from 57 points previously. This is what emerges from the preliminary reading of the data.

The index confirmed the expansion phase, as it is above 50 points, the dividing line between the contraction phase – values below – and the expansion phase (values above).

Australia’s Services SME rose slightly to 57.9 points from the previous 57.4 points. The Composite SME index improved to 57.1 points, from 56.6 points previously.
