Bank of Italy: 2021 GDP expected at + 5.1% to then settle at + 4.4% in 2022 and + 2.3% in 2023

The Economic Bulletin published today by Bank of Italy sees the Italian economy accelerate significantly starting from the third quarter, with an average annual growth currently estimated at 5.1 per cent; in the following two years, GDP is seen to rise at a pace of 4.4 in 2022 and 2.3 in 2023. In this context, GDP would return to the levels prior to the pandemic crisis in the second half of next year. In the second quarter, growth should have accentuated at a rate of more than 1 per cent compared with the previous period.
