Bank of Italy: tax revenues up 39.7% in May

In May, tax revenues accounted for in the state budget amounted to 34.4 billion, an increase of 39.7% (9.8 billion) compared to the same month of 2020. The Bank of Italy announces this, explaining that “this trend would also reflect the postponement of some tax payments arranged with the emergency decrees approved last year ”. In the first five months of 2021, tax revenues amounted to 162.2 billion, up 12.9% (18.5 billion) compared to the same period last year.
