Banks: Abi; net non-performing loans fell to 19.8 billion in April

Net non-performing loans (i.e. net of write-downs and provisions already made by banks with their own resources) in April 2021 amounted to 19.8 billion euros, down compared to 19.9 billion in March 2021 and 26.1 billion in April 2020 (-6.3 billion equal to -24%) and 32.6 billion in April 2019 (-12.8 billion equal to -39.2%). This is what emerges from the latest ABI monthly report. Compared to the maximum level of net bad loans, reached in November 2015 (88.8 billion), the reduction is 69 billion (equal to -77.7%).
