Banks in no particular order today on the Ftse Mib: -3% Unicredit, Intesa sprinting

Bad day for bank stocks with Unicredit leading the decline. The stock of the group in Piazza Gae Aulenti marks over -3% in the € 13.60 area. Indiscretions released yesterday see Unicredit look to Russia. Otkritie Bank would be in the crosshairs with a due diligence process that could kick off this week, according to Bloomberg agency.

Among the other banks, contained drops for Bper (-0.25%) and Banco BPM (-0.1%). Ftse Mib performer since the beginning of the year with over + 11%. The stock has returned to its highest levels since 15 October when the stock had pushed up to area 2.575 which corresponds with the closing top of the last 3 and a half years.
