First fruits for DTC dynamic traction control and also for adaptive cruise control (Acc) which, thanks to its radar and the logic governing brakes and accelerator, allows you to always keep a set distance from the vehicle in front regardless of speed.

There is still a lot to talk about the equipment of the new R 1250 RT, but the ultimate goal of this bike is the ability to grind kilometers undisturbed and to always give driving pleasure in every situation and that is exactly what it does best. Safe on the versatile original equipment Michelin Road5 and incredibly agile and light in cornering, the R 1250 RT can be defined as a precision tool for moving great distances in the best possible way. The driving position does not tire, the aerodynamic protection is excellent in the standard version of the RT, especially by raising the electrically operated windscreen, good in the Sport version, whose screen is smaller. The driving aids are always on time, the Acc mature immediately, which allows you to travel on the motorway in safety and in complete relaxation. Despite the important weight (279 kg in odm with full tank) the RT boasts a correct attitude control through its new generation ESA suspensions, so much so that under braking it does not undergo load transfers even in panic stops. The engine always has a reserve of torque and power such as to allow it to get out of any hindrance, even with a passenger and fully loaded. The ratios are correctly scaled to lead the driver to naturally use the mid-range, between 2,000 and 5,000 rpm, where torque is king.
