Yesterday Euronext announced that the board of directors of Borsa Italiana and the supervisory board of Euronext have appointed Fabrizio Testa, current CEO of the electronic government bond market (MTS), CEO of Borsa Italiana, head of fixed income trading of the group and member of the Euronext managing board. The appointment is subject to regulatory and shareholder approval. “Raffaele Jerusalmi has agreed to resign from the position of CEO of Borsa Italiana as of November 28, 2021”, reads the official statement. At the same time, Testa will assume the positions of CEO of Borsa Italiana and head of the Group’s fixed income trading. Testa will resign from his current position as CEO of Mts in the first quarter of 2022, Angelo Proni has been chosen in his place. The latter will take office after the approval of the 2021 financial results by the board of Mts in the first quarter of 2022.
Testa, explains the note, will focus on the development of Borsa Italiana in Italy, on the integration of Borsa Italiana within the Euronext European project and on the growth of Euronext in bond trading. Fabrizio Testa will join the Euronext Managing Board, actively contributing to the Euronext Group strategy.
