Milan is sitting in a decisive rise in the wake of the new records set by Wall Street and the indications from the German Ifo and the ECB Bulletin. The Ftse Mib closed at 25,422 points (+ 1.38%).

A positive assist to the markets came from dovish statements by Richmond Federal Reserve Chairman Thomas Barkin, who said he believes inflationary pressures will subside in the US in the fourth quarter of this year.

Today in Piazza Affari there are increases in the order of 2.6 per cent by Amplifon which closes at new all-time highs. However, the best on the Ftse Mib was Nexi (+ 4% approximately to 18.635 euros). Even for the leading paytech in Italy, these are new record highs in the wake of the effect of the M&A operation in Europe by the giant Visa. The US payment giant will shell out 1.8 billion euros for Tink, a Swedish fintech used by banks and startups to access consumer financial data.

Historic highs also for Campari (+ 2.33% to 11.415 euros). Today, Citi analysts raised the rating on the beverage company from sell to neutral with a target price of 11.5 euros.

Banking shares also rose well, with Intesa Sanpaolo marking + 2.07% at € 2.364, while Unicredit did better (+ 2.76% at € 10.366).

The only signs less than today on the Ftse Mib were Telecom Italia and Banco Bpm, both down by about 1 per cent.
