Brembo closed the first quarter of the year with record revenues of € 675.1 million, up by 17.2% (+ 20.9% at constant exchange rates) compared to the first quarter of the previous year. If compared with the first quarter of 2019, which represents a more homogeneous comparison with respect to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, quarterly revenues show a growth of 1.2%. Geographically, the boost comes mainly from Asia: India grows by 31.2% (+ 44.3% at constant exchange rates), China by 97.4% (+ 100.9% at constant exchange rates; + 39.6% compared to the first quarter of 2019) and Japan by 20.0% (+ 20.9% at constant exchange rates).

The gross operating margin (Ebitda) for the quarter amounted to 135.6 million, compared to 102.0 million in the first quarter of 2020, while the net operating margin (Ebit) was 83.7 million and compares with 50.3 million. in the first quarter of 2020. The quarter closed with a net profit of 61.4 million, compared with 29.8 million in the same period of the previous year.
