MILANO – The group Calzedonia, with a total turnover close to 2 billion euros, it is confirmed as one of the major Italian fashion groups even in the year of the pandemic. The empire of socks and underwear at competitive prices founded by Sandro Veronesi in the mid-1980s has put on file 2020, the year of the official arrival of Covid-19, with sales revenues of 1.94 billion. 44% made in Italy and 51% in other European countries; the figure is down compared to the 2.41 billion in 2019 which had represented the group’s all-time high.
