The “Project Restart”, focusing on the research of the best entrepreneurial practices from Campania and Calabria to enhance and support them, concretely marks the transition from local banks to community banks.
It is the first act of the newly formed Federation of Community Banks of Cooperative Credit Campania Calabria, a strong, innovative and dynamic federative reality in Southern Italy, born from the merger of the two regional realities.

With a potential user base of about seven and a half million inhabitants, after Lombardy it is one of the most geographically extended Italian federal aggregations and where Cooperative Credit can make its contribution to inclusive and participatory development: 19 banks (11 in Campania and 8 in Calabria, of which 5 members of the Cassa Centrale cooperative banking group and 14 of the Iccrea cooperative banking group), 240 branches, 1,600 employees, 62,500 shareholders, 742 million euros of assets, 8.2 billion euros of total deposits, 4 , 3 billion euros of net loans.
Important numbers for a Federation that has three objectives: of representation towards the Bodies and in particular the two Regions; to represent the interests of the 19 banks both vis-à-vis the authorities and within the banking system; and finally training, promoting events, conferences, cultural initiatives on cooperation and mutuality.
At the top of the new body, the president of the Campania Federation of Cooperative Credit Banks Amedeo Manzo was appointed, while Nicola Paldino, president of the Calabrese Federation, was appointed deputy vice president.
