“The equity culture is still lagging behind. We need to make a cultural discourse and work on the new generations. The second and third generations of entrepreneurs have different sensitivities, but culture is still far behind on the opening of capital. It must be said that many people have understood that there is no alternative to equity and to open up capital and be less provincial. The reasoning on the quotation is long-term. What need did Google and Amazon need to go public? Nobody because they had great liquidity, but they did it because they understood that the modern capitalist system has no alternative to listing on the stock exchange ”. This was stated by Giovanni Tamburi, founder, president and CEO of Tip – Tamburi Investment Partners, during his speech on the theme “We need to instill the culture of equity in Italian entrepreneurs” during the Alternative Finance Forum organized by Sole 24 Ore.
“The most far-sighted companies must go public – continues Tamburi -. In particular, we must take care of retail because it is a crazy resource, and in this sense Italy must do more than the others. We have thousands of beautiful companies, it’s a ready tank. And then why invest in foreign funds? Instead, we need to build opportunities on Italian companies “.
