The memoranda of understanding were signed on November 24 in Rome that sign the entry of the National Consortium and the cooperatives Conad in Confcommercio-Imprese for Italy, the largest corporate representation active in our country, with over 700,000 associates. The signing of the agreements took place in the presence of the president of Confcommercio, Carlo Sangalli, of the president of Ancd, Maurizio Pelliconi and the CEO of Conad, Francesco Pugliese, who assumes the position of vice president of Confcommercio with responsibility for taxation and corporate finance.
The agreement was reached as part of a framework agreement between ANCD (National Association of Retail Cooperatives, a political-trade union structure belonging to Legacoop to which the territorial cooperatives and the Conad National Consortium are associated) and Confcommercio.

Conad’s entry into Confcommercio will bring delegates from the cooperative and Conad entrepreneur members to the provincial organizations of the trade association. Conad also brings its own business model, made up of 3,305 points of sale, 65,772 employees, 2,390 entrepreneur members associated in a cooperative who share a set of principles and values, including the centrality of the person and his abilities, serving communities every day. large and small in the Italian territory in which they operate and live.
