Concessions and seaside tourism: Region-associations table in Sicily

by admin

It will be necessary to address all the critical issues on the table: from the process on maritime state-owned permits until 2033 to the provisions included in the 2021 Budget

PALERMO – The new permanent table on the issues of state property and seaside tourism will be set up on 7 June between the regional department of the Territory and Environment and sector associations. The announcement was made at the end of the meeting at Palazzo Orléans between the regional councilor Toto Cordaro and Fiba Confesercenti, Sib Confcommercio, Assobalneari Confindustria Sicilia, Cna Balneari Sicilia and Oasi Confartigianato.

The invitation was issued in mid-April by the associations which, worried about the effects of the pandemic on the next season, had delivered a programmatic document with the fundamental issues to be addressed. The Musumeci government has thus decided to set up a permanent technical table to address all the critical issues on the table: from the process already started for the maintenance of maritime state-owned concessions until 2033 to the provisions included in the 2021 Budget.

“We are working to simplify and harmonize the rules governing state-owned concessions – stresses Cordaro – I am convinced that a permanent meeting table with those who represent bathing companies can be the right tool to do sooner and better. From the pandemic and its harmful effects the economy can only be achieved through healthy consultation with the social partners “.
