From washing machines to car components continuing with metallurgy and iron and steel to get to aerospace. The season of disputes to save companies in crisis and the future of about one hundred thousand workers starts again. The corporate crisis tables open to the Ministry of Economic Development are 87. Just over half of the 150 in 2019. The total number of disputes followed by the deputy deputy minister Alessandra Todde includes the 57 open crisis tables and the 30 monitoring ones, which also include companies that are not in crisis but which are part of sectors in crisis. Like, just to give an example, the companies that are linked to the automotive sector.
One hundred thousand waiting
In this system orbit a number of workers who, according to a first estimate of the offices that are in charge of following all the phases, oscillate between 80 and 100 thousand employees. All hanging on to the solution of the different disputes and, for the moment, grappling with the renewed social safety nets. Because in the calendar of practices to be carried out there are not only Ita-Alitalia ex Ilva, and the steel sector which, in proportion, has the highest number of workers.

Whirlpool
The Whirlpool case started the restart of the disputes. On the horizon there is a plan, which Mise is working on for the relaunch of the Naples site, which aims for a “lasting solution”. Precisely for this reason Invitalia is looking for primary and consolidated companies interested in this perspective. A first meeting, at the Mise, could be fixed soon. The technical table for Blutec is scheduled to be convened directly in Sicily at Termini Imerese on 9 September.

For the next few days, a meeting is also scheduled to address the Elica dispute, a leading company in the production of kitchen hoods. The company has undertaken to suspend any unilateral action linked to the previous plan which included layoffs and now the goal, which emerged in the last meeting, is to share with all parties an industrial plan that excludes redundancies; the date set to conclude the comparison is 30 September.
Metallurgy
In the field of metallurgy, we move from north to south. Specifically, in northern Italy the dispute concerning the metallurgical company is that of Slim Fusina Rolling Srl whose future is linked to the fate of 250 workers. In the same context there are, in Sardinia, the disputes concerning the future of Eurallumina and Sider Alloys (altogether about 700), the first and second links of the aluminum supply chain in Italy, still struggling with authorization procedures.
