Cristina Scocchia, the manager of Coldirodi who received the San Romolo Award for entrepreneurship last month, leaves the cosmetics giant Kiko Milano after three years and becomes CEO of Illycaffè. It is an important moment in her career: she also conquered the 25th place in the Italian ranking of top managers by reputation (she is the second woman after Miuccia Prada, at 17th). 47 years old, born in Coldirodi, daughter of teachers, she will take over from Massimiliano Pogliani, at the helm of the Trieste-based company for two terms. La Scocchia was already a member of the Illycaffè Board of Directors since 2019. Graduated in Economics and Commerce from the Bocconi University of Milan and with a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Turin, Cristina Scocchia previously worked in Procter & Gamble , holding roles of increasing responsibility, and in L’Oréal Italia, where he held the positions of managing director and chairman. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of EssilorLuxottica.
“For the new expansion cycle that will begin in 2022 and in view of a future listing, we have decided to entrust the leadership to Cristina Scocchia, a talented manager recognized in the development of brands with a high aesthetic and experiential content”. Thus Andrea Illy, president of Illycaffè, comments on the appointment of Scocchia. The professional career of the Sanremo manager is constantly growing. Regarding the Green Pass, Scocchia states: “Anyone who decides not to get vaccinated must pay the costs of this decision: we will not finance tampons to our employees”.
