Dacia Duster, the Extreme version of the democratic suv arrives

Remarkable numbers that speak of 2 million pieces sold since 2010 in about 44 countries and more than 260,000 in Italy, are the visiting card of the Dacia Duster crossover which, in two generations, has conquered so many motorists thanks to a look that combines the classic compact SUV with the most sought after off-roaders. This without forgetting the quality / price ratio which is the reason why one in two customers buys this SUV which, as Dacia explains, has “democratized” this market segment. And now, to revive the range, Dacia has decided to add a new limited series to the list, which takes the name of Duster Extreme.

The newcomer, based on the MY21 updates of the second series, incorporates the characteristics of the Prestige trim, but in addition offers standard equipment that makes it even more interesting. Starting from the outside, Duster Extreme is immediately noticeable for the orange decorative inserts that are present on the grille on the rear-view mirror shells, on the roof bars and on the tailgate. And to give a touch of aggression, here are the black alloy wheels.

Dacia, for its Duster Extreme has not spared even as regards the interior. The seats are made of fabric / TEP where also in this case the orange inserts and seams stand out. The same splashes of color are visible on the air vents, center armrest, door handles and center console moldings.

The equipment is as mentioned in the Prestige set-up (automatic air conditioning, Media Nav Evolution 8 ”, high center console), but with the Duster Extreme you get Keyless Entry key, 2 USB sockets for rear seat passengers and the Multiview Camera. It also completes the range of colors available for the bodywork, which includes the colors Bianco Ghiaccio, Nero Nacré, Grigio Cometa, Blu Iron, Orange Arizona to which is added the exclusive and brand new Gray road.

As for the engines, Dacia offers the classic diesel dCi 115hp with 2 or 4 wheel drive and the petrol-LPG ECO-G 100 bifuel with 2 wheel drive with 6-speed manual transmission. An absolute novelty is the TCe 150hp 2-wheel drive engine with 6-speed EDC automatic transmission. Obviously, all engines comply with the Euro 6D Full standard.
