Danieli announced that it has signed a five-year memorandum of understanding with MMK, a Russian steel group, for the development and implementation of technologies aimed at decarbonising the steel production process.
The two companies will collaborate to identify potential new green technologies, assess technical feasibility and implement these new technologies at MMk’s Magnitogorsk plant in Russia. The agreement with MMK follows that of last month with the Ukrainian steel group Metinvest, always focused on the development and implementation of green technologies for the production of steel of which Danieli confirms to be a front-runner. “We believe that new growth opportunities are opening up for Danieli’s plant-making division with the support of important international partners,” say the analysts of the Milan-based SIM.
