The Serie A football championship started off on the wrong foot for Dazn who recorded some inefficiencies, triggering a flow of protests and reports that began in the opening match of the 2021/2022 season between Inter and Genoa and then continued with Udinese-Juventus played late yesterday afternoon. The first day of the championship broadcast by the broadcaster created controversy and complaints from thousands of users. Many have encountered connection problems and so Codacons, the association in defense of consumers, has asked to indemnify all users involved in disservices, through automatic reimbursements equal to the cost of the single batch, under penalty of inevitable compensation actions to protect consumers and of the fans.

“In fact, someone must remember that users have paid to the platform, and this year more than in previous years, an often inefficient service. – underlined the Codacons – Citizens’ money, never as in this period, is precious and cannot be tolerate that they end up in the pockets of those who are unable to provide a service at the height, or have not prepared in time what is necessary to do so “.

Codacons therefore requests that Dazn restore adequate service standards, compensating the users involved, or that it renounces the idea of broadcasting the games and cedes its rights to others. Who, in fact, is in possession of DAZN packages and has not been able to watch the game on TV, or has suffered continuous signal interruptions, has the right, according to the civil code, to obtain a refund of the amount paid, in proportion to the inconvenience suffered. .

The association had undertaken in recent weeks to monitor the improvement of the quality of the service and compliance with the provisions of the Agcom, so that there were no inefficiencies as in previous years. In a complaint to the Antitrust of 2018, Codacons had in fact already denounced “the continuous and sudden interruptions, the delays in the connection, the unavailability of the app for some devices and the delay in the real-time transmission of the match due to the slowed streaming” .
