Delays and Frustrations: Cuban Clients Still Waiting for Remittances from Cimex SA

Many Cuban clients are still waiting for their remittances to be deposited into their bank cards despite assurances from financial company Cimex SA over a week ago. Bárbara Rodríguez and Eva Sahay Teshome, two affected users, expressed their frustrations with the delays and lack of communication from the Central Bank of Cuba and the Metropolitan Bank. Fincimex, the company responsible for processing these remittances, has not responded publicly to these concerns.

Small World, a platform that had suspended shipments to Cuba due to banking issues, recently announced its return to service. However, customers continue to report problems with receiving their money, even after being told that deposits had been made. Western Union also suspended transfers to Cuba due to unspecified issues with remittances, leaving many customers in limbo. Despite promises of resolution, many Cuban residents are still waiting for their much-needed funds to arrive.
