Enel with the “Gestori di Cuore” close to colleagues with chronic diseases

by admin

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Enel has launched the MaCro @ Work Caring Program with which it creates a network of “Heart Managers” to offer support and empathic listening to colleagues who are faced with a chronic illness, with the aim of making the work environment is even more inclusive for everyone. The program is currently active for Enel employees in Italy, with a network of 15 Heart Managers, and is expected to be extended to the other countries in which the Group operates. “With the MaCro @ Work Caring Program we want to offer a simple and valuable solution to stay close to those colleagues who face a chronic disease, a complex situation to manage also due to the repercussions it can have on the professional context. we want to manage together, “commented Guido Stratta, Enel’s People and Organization director. “This program, with the figure of the Heart Manager, is the expression of a new corporate culture that focuses on empathy and the care of people to live a positive, constructive and inclusive working context that allows the enhancement of everyone’s talent “, he added. At the heart of the MaCro @ Work Caring Program is the network of Managers of Heart, Enel’s People Business Partners who have voluntarily joined the program and received dedicated training to offer empathic listening and support to colleagues with chronic diseases and their managers and collaborators . The Manager of Heart, in full respect of privacy, supports colleagues in identifying the best opportunities for reconciling private life and work. It is a ‘facilitator’ with respect to regulatory aspects, access to services and activation of management actions that will support colleagues who decide to use this service over time to better support them in re-adapting the working situation based on the evolution of their conditions of health. The program, which takes its cue from the results of an inter-company research to which Enel joined and a survey that involved over 6 thousand people in the company involved, directly or indirectly, by a chronic disease, stems from Enel’s awareness of the ethical and social relevance that health plays in the workplace and the growing attention of the Group to the issues of diversity and inclusion.
