Eni has announced that it has started production from the Cabaça North development project, in the deep waters of Block 15/06 in Angola, through the “Armada Olombendo” floating production, storage and discharge unit (FPSO). The start-up of Cabaça North, specifies the Six-legged Dog, is a further example of how Eni Angola, in full collaboration with ANPG and partners, continues to create value from Block 15/06 through its exploration strategy near infrastructures existing structures (ILX, infrastructure-led exploration), generating a sequence of fast-track projects characterized by submarine connections, thus maximizing the use of existing structures in the area in a sustainable manner.

The development of Cabaça North, with an expected peak production rate of around 15,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), will increase and support the plateau of the Armada Olombendo, an FPSO with a total capacity of 100 kbopd, designed to operate with zero-discharge and zero-process flaring for the entire production life.
