Mercedes will be offering revised electric car models from April 25th to combat low sales, reports the “Handelsblatt”.

The EQS and EQE sedans and SUVs will have a larger battery with the same base prices. There would also be more comfortable seats, a new radiator design and, if desired, a standing star on the hood.

In the first quarter of 2024, deliveries of electric cars fell by nine percent.

Mercedes will offer revised electric car models from April 25th to combat low sales, reports the “Handelsblatt”. In the first quarter of 2024, deliveries of electric cars fell by nine percent; last year, at least 170,000 fewer new electric cars were sold than planned.

The EQS and EQE sedans and SUVs will receive a larger battery with the same basic prices, which will enable more trips by more than eleven percent. There would also be more comfortable seats, a chrome-decorated radiator grille and, if desired, a standing star on the hood.

The Swabians had expected annual sales of up to 50,000 units for the EQS presented in 2021. Mercedes can’t even manage half of that. The main reason is that the brand was left behind in the Chinese electric car market.
