According to reports, different from the Huawei Mate series, which emphasizes extreme technology and powerful performance, the P series has always emphasized the combination of technological aesthetics and smart photography.
The rear of the Huawei P50 series consists of a super main camera unit and a super zoom unit, and supports functions such as XD Optics computing optics technology that can maintain 81% of image information, 4K video at all focal lengths, super filter system and primary color engine. Huawei P50 supports up to 80x zoom; Huawei P50 Pro supports up to 200x zoom.
The industry’s first “global” image information restoration system
In appearance, Huawei P50 has 3 colors, namely Snow White, Yao Gold Black, and Cocoa Tea Gold. In addition to these three color schemes, Huawei P50 Pro also adds dawn powder and a brand new color scheme—Ripple Yunbo.
The P50 series is equipped with Harmony OS 2 (Hongmeng System). This time the system has been completely upgraded in terms of personalization, interconnection, system fluency, and privacy.
At the press conference, Yu Chengdong also revealed that more than 40 million users have upgraded to use Harmony OS 2. Earlier models such as Huawei Mate9 and P10 series will also receive HarmonyOS system upgrades next year.
Huawei P50 uses Snapdragon 888 4G processor. Huawei P50 Pro has two processor versions, Snapdragon 888 4G (expected to be available at the end of the year) and Kirin 9000 4G. Although 5G chips can only be used as 4G due to restrictions in the United States, Yu Chengdong said he is confident that with the support of Huawei’s strong communication technology, the P50 series can still provide an excellent communication experience.
In terms of price, the P50 starts at 4488 yuan, and the P50 Pro starts at 5988 yuan. The Huawei P50 series started pre-sale on July 30 and officially went on sale on August 12.
The conference also released Huawei speakers, Huawei smart screens, Huawei watches, Huawei wireless headsets and other products.
