The inflation rate in the Eurozone stood at 1.6% on an annual basis in April, according to the first estimate made by Eurostat. The figure shows an increase compared to 1.3% in March, but still expected by the market. The rise in inflation is driven by energy prices rising by nearly 10% over the year. Inflation is expected to rise to 1.8% this year after 0.3% in 2020.
