Eurozone inflation flies to 7.5% in March. This is the result of Eurostat’s flash estimate. In February the figure was 5.9%. According to Eurostat, the highest level of inflation ever recorded in the euro area was above all the growth in energy prices (+ 44.7% compared to + 32% in February), followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (5%, compared to 4.2% in February), non-energy industrial goods (3.4%, compared to 3.1% in February) and services (2.7%, compared to 2.5 % of February).
