Not everyone has received the mail yet, but the employees of the Hamburg startup Expresssteuer have been certain for a few days now: they will all be laid off at the end of February.

This is reported by one of the sources who had already reported to us about the questionable circumstances surrounding the Hamburg startup’s bankruptcy declaration. The insolvency administrator Marc-André Borchert, who was responsible for the case, confirmed to Gründerszene: “The insolvency proceedings will be opened on March 1st. From the opening, there will be no continuation of operations – and operations have come to a standstill.” No new employment contracts will be concluded, and a few employees will continue to be employed on clean-up work while they are laid off.
