Ferrari launches 15 new models by 2026 and expands the Maranello plant

To achieve the electric breakthrough announced today at Capital Markets Day, Ferrari will expand its Maranello plant. “We will add a new ‘e-building’ where we will build by hand the electric motors and the unique batteries that you will only find in a Ferrari – says the managing director Benedetto Vigna – And this development of the plant will ensure a technical capacity superior to our needs. for the years to come ».

The highly anticipated Purosangue will arrive in September of this year (says Vigna: “It is a true sports car, unlike any other, and will be equipped with the most iconic engine in Ferrari history, our V12″), while the new Supercar will be unveiled by 2026. The philosophy is: different Ferraris for different Ferrari drivers.

The Ferrari plan presented today in Maranello provides for 15 new launches in the period 2023-2026. The Icona and Supercar models will make up, on average, less than 5% of the total volumes in the plan period, the Special Series around 10%.

“The company – explains Vigna – today has the widest and most beautiful range of products ever, as well as the highest order portfolio ever achieved, which allow it to prepare and manage the future growth path in line with its dedication to uniqueness, faithful to the philosophy of its founder: ” Ferrari will always deliver one car less than market demand ” ».

Each model will be designed with a unique positioning and to address a specific clientele, according to the principle “different Ferraris for different Ferraristi and different Ferraris for different moments”. To maintain the uniqueness, the 2022-2026 product range will include, on average, in addition to the range models: Icona and Supercar, which will be limited to less than 5% of total volumes; Special Series which will represent about 10% of the total volumes.

The plan to 2026, explains the financial director Enrico Galliera, favors revenues over volumes, and foresees a strong contribution from the mix / price, reaching an ebitda of 2.5-2.7 billion euros in 2026, with a margin ebitda of 38% -40%. The 4.4 billion cumulative investments will support product development: 75% will go to new car projects and 25% to infrastructure. During the plan, the generation of industrial free cash flow is expected between 4.6 and 4.9 billion, while the remuneration of the shareholders foresees an increase in the dividend pay-out from 30% to 35% of the adjusted net profit from 2022 onwards and a 2 billion share buyback program between now and 2026.

Ferrari aims to achieve net sales of up to € 6.7 billion in 2026, with a compound annual growth rate of 9%, mainly driven by car-related businesses, supported by its rich model portfolio and customization.

However, other revenues, generated by both racing and lifestyle activities, are also expected to contribute positively to the company’s performance, including the ambition to double lifestyle sales by 2026 compared to pre-pandemic levels. After cutting half of the brand’s licensing agreements, in the last two years Ferrari has hired creative and commercial talents from the luxury sector and launched its first two fashion collections.

Vigna explains that Ferrari will insist on this sector, focusing on three areas: luxury goods, experiential offerings (such as Theme Parks and / or Museums) and collectibles that embody the craftsmanship and imagination that inspire creation, design and production of all the cars of the Cavallino. “We will move with care, but also with agility and determination – concludes the CEO – And we will build this business with the same determination to win that has characterized us in the last 75 years, as a global leader in the world of luxury”.
