Ferraris at the helm of Fs, Draghi chooses discontinuity and Scannapieco approaches Cdp

by admin

Luigi Ferraris CEO, Nicoletta Giadrossi president. With these two names, Prime Minister Mario Draghi inaugurates a new season at the helm of Ferrovie dello Stato. The choice comes after an interview with the Minister of Economy Daniele Franco and after a long evaluation work with the involvement of a company of headhunters. And it seems to herald another choice of discontinuity, at the helm of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, expected in the next few hours with the probable appointment of Dario Scannapieco as CEO, alongside President Giovanni Gorno Tempini confirmed by the former banking foundations. For the outgoing CEO of Cdp, Fabrizio Palermo, who boasts the results obtained and widespread support in the majority, starting from the M5s, the indication at the top of another subsidiary could arrive, so much so that rumors of a relay race also circulate Invitalia with Domenico Arcuri.

The “Draghi method” also marks the very extensive dossier of appointments: the premier decides, in line with the Minister of Economy, after a work carried out by a company of headhunters (Key2people for Cdp and Fs; Egon Zehnder for Rai). The majority leaders are informed of the decisions, but there is no room for the “cencelli” of the parties, which according to various parliamentary sources, could have more say in the indication of the members of the board of directors.

The Ferrovie dossier, a crucial company in the implementation of the Recovery plan, is therefore closed. With a meeting called late in the evening at which the Ministry of Economy indicates Ferraris as CEO, a manager with proven experience in investee companies, with a past in Enel, Poste and Terna. Nicoletta Giadrossi, formerly of Fincantieri, arrives at the presidency, in a gender alternation that should mark most of the appointments. A few more days will have to pass instead for the renewal of the top management of Rai, since the meeting takes place in second call on 14 June. The parties will enter more directly on this dossier, not only for the appointment of the members of the board of directors (one in Lega, one Fdi or Fi, one Pd, one M5s), but also for the vote with which the Rai Supervisory Commission will have to give the green light to the name of the future president by a two-thirds majority. For this box, the quotations of Alessandra Perrazzelli, Deputy Director General of the Bank of Italy, rise, in the majority ‘bag’, who is also indicated by some as a possible CEO and who could have the right profile for the presidency, especially if the position as CEO went to a man, perhaps internal to the company. For the presidency, the names of the journalist Ferruccio de Bortoli, who would have declined, of the former CEO Mauro Masi, of Simona Agnes or of the journalist Paola Severini Melograni also continue to circulate. While the role of CEO continues to be considered in the game the interns Maurizio Ciannamea, in charge of the schedules and considered welcome by the League, Paolo Del Brocco, CEO of Rai Cinema, or the ‘external’ Eleonora Ripa, of OpenFiber, Laura Cioli, already in RCS, Francesca Bria, president of CDP Venture Capital and considered esteemed by the Democratic Party, who could indicate her as a director.
