MILANO – Ferrero prepares the landing in the packaged ice cream market. The Piedmontese company has announced that starting from this month it will launch the sticks with Ferrero Rocher, in the Classic and Dark versions, Raffaello, and the icicles with Estathé Ice in lemon and peach flavors. In addition to the Italian market, which is worth around 1.9 billion euros, the products will also be launched in four other European countries: France, Germany, Austria and Spain.

Over the years – explains a company press release – a team dedicated to the development of recipes for these new products was born in the Ferrero laboratories. The development of ice cream and ice lollies was further strengthened thanks to the synergies with Ice Cream Factory Comaker, a Spanish company specializing in the development and production of ice cream products, of which the group acquired control in 2019.

The Ferrero ice creams – the note continues – will be produced in the alzira plant, in Spain (in the province of Valencia) which “thanks to the setting up of a totally new line, is characterized by innovative systems and a high degree of automation”.
