Fiera Milano, Tuttofood doubles visitors over 150 thousand

by admin

Over 150 thousand visitors, much more than the over 82 thousand registered in the previous edition, that of 2019. It is with this balance that the eighth edition of Tuttofood ended on October 26 in Milan, which this year was held in conjunction with HostMilano and MeatTech. “The bet to meet again in person proved to be a winning one – commented the CEO of Fiera Milano, Luca Palermo – there was a great desire to do business live, as demonstrated by the meetings organized by more than 2,700 companies”.

The numbers of this Tuttofood authorize Fiera Milano to think big and throw the glove of the challenge to other trade fair operators. Palermo is increasingly convinced of this: “Italy has not always had the most significant exhibition hub in the world on food but, also for the entire supply chain, we must create it in Milan: we are ready to play our part – it goes reiterating these days -. Our exhibition system generates 45.6 billion in sales and the food industry is the second largest sector with 11.4 billion in sales generated. Now with Tuttofood it has 240 thousand square meters at its disposal: Fiera Milano is at the supply chain’s disposal ».

The first agreements in this sense have already been signed during this edition of Tuttofood. Starting with the partnership with Filiera Italia and Coldiretti to promote made in Italy agri-food in the world with innovative methods, with the aim of doubling its export value. An agreement was signed with Informa Market – which has over 450 events worldwide in its portfolio – to take the companies present at Fiera Milano events abroad.

Among the first events, the participation of Italian companies in the next edition of FHA-HoReCA, the Singapore fair dedicated to food and hotels that will take place from 10 to 13 May 2022: “The collaboration between Fiera Milano and Informa Markets – has also known as Palermo – it starts from the Food & Hospitality sectors, where we are international leaders, and then continues in other sectors. We are confident that this alliance can represent a further internationalization opportunity to be offered to companies participating in trade fairs. Our ambition remains unchanged: we want to strengthen ourselves as a European hub capable of hosting congresses and events of a global scale. This is why we are increasingly focused on activating partnerships with major international players ».
