A live video of the fire in Huawei’s store also broke online, showing that the display car in the store was burning. At present, Huawei and Celis have jointly created the AITO brand, and the model on sale is the range-extended version of the M5.
In this regard, Huawei responded to the “Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily” that it is still unable to determine the cause of the fire, and the specific cause of the fire needs to wait for the authoritative investigation results of the fire department and other relevant departments.
A person from Huawei told “Sohu Technology” that the fire was not only in the Huawei store, but the entire shopping mall. The police and the fire department are investigating the cause of the fire.
The Dongsheng Branch of the Ordos City Public Security Bureau issued a police report on the 14th saying that the incident occurred at 11:00 p.m. on the 13th, and a fire broke out in the Ordos City Shopping Center in Dongsheng District. The fire started in a mobile phone shop at the bottom of the first floor. During the fire-fighting process, 2 people were found and died after being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. The cause of death was initially judged to be carbon monoxide poisoning and suffocation.

Previously, there was a smoke accident caused by a socket problem in a shopping mall in the Huawei AITO M5 exhibition hall. In this regard, the relevant person in charge said: “The incident is because the external power socket of the outreach is not suitable, and a short circuit occurs, which has nothing to do with the car.”
Industry insiders said that in the past, electric vehicle fire casualties often occurred when charging at night. Reasons generally include line aging, battery short circuit, charger mismatch, overcharging, etc.
