The airports of Fiumicino and Ciampino announce that they are the first in Europe to receive from the Airports Council International Europe the recognition on the reduction of direct and indirect CO2 emissions in airports, which goes under the name of Airport Carbon Accreditation 4+.
The Aeroporti di Roma company has decided to completely zero its emissions and thus become Net Zero Emission by 2030, 20 years earlier than what was set at the European airport sector level (Net Zero 2050) thanks to a plan mainly aimed at renewable sources and electric mobility.
