The Ford Fiesta returns with technical innovations, electrified solutions and even the sporty ST even more powerful and aggressive. The design changes little, but each trim level has now received more characterization. The bonnet, which now lacks the oval logo moved to the grille, and the bumper have been redesigned inspired by the look of Puma. All versions offer front LED optical groups as standard, while the Matrix LED ones with automatic high beams and the rear LED ones with glossy black frame make their debut as an option.
Two new colors and other variants of alloy wheels
The body of the body is always available in 3 and 5-door variants, while two new colors are planned, combined with seven different variants of alloy wheels. The fittings, on the other hand, keep their current names: Trend, Titanium, ST-Line, ST and Active. The Vignale package is offered in combination with the Titanium, ST-Line and Active models and offers specific rims, microfiber interior linings, matt carbon-effect finishes and other specific customizations for each trim level in the range.
More quality and integrated sim for remote management
The cockpit, then, is signaled for the updated finishes and above all offers the digital instrumentation with 12.3-inch display equipped with customized graphics based on the driving modes. Furthermore, the Sync 3 infotainment is managed via the 8-inch touch display and integrates the Rear Occupant Alert function. All variants of the Fiesta come standard with the FordPass Connect package with integrated sim for remote vehicle management via the well-known FordPass application.
A new 155 hp mild hybrid for the Fiesta
The offer of engines does not undergo major developments, but increasingly focuses on electrification. At the center of the range are, in fact, the 1,000 cc Ecoboost mild hybrid 48V in the 125 and 155 hp versions, the latter being unprecedented for the Fiesta. The manufacturer declares for both versions an average consumption of 4.9 l / 100 km and 111 g / km of CO2, values that rise to 5.2 l / 100 km and 117 g / km for the 125 hp if equipped with 7-speed automatic transmission that enables Start & Stop under 12 km / h. Alternatively, the 1,000 cc Ecoboost with 100 hp is available, while the 1,100 cc aspirated 75 hp will no longer be on the list.
The driving methods of the car remain unchanged
All versions offer Normal, Sport and Eco driving modes, while Active only, while maintaining the two-wheel drive, also adds Trail and Slippery for light off-road driving. Among the Adas it should be noted the availability of the new Wrong-Way Alert and Local Hazard Information functions, in addition to adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function for the variant with automatic transmission. Ford also cares about the sportiest buyers and has worked specifically on the Fiesta ST. The 200 hp 1,500 Ecoboost engine now delivers a maximum torque of 320 Nm, 10% more than before, while seats now offer 14 adjustments, integrated headrests and the front grille now proposed with a different finish.
