In the paychecks of workers employed in the logistics, freight transport and cooperation chain, an increase of 104 euros will arrive, after the 24 employers’ associations representing companies in the sector (from Anita to Confetra and Conftrasporto) have signed with the trade unions, Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl and Uilt Uil, the renewal of the employment contract for the economic part. There are over one million employees, from the riders who have this contract to the drivers and truckers who have seen their work grow exponentially during the pandemic.
The contract, which expired at the end of 2019, is renewed until March 31, 2024, for a duration of 4 years and 3 months. In this regard, the renewal, taking into account the emergency situation, focused on the economic part, paying workers an average amount of 104 euros per month when fully operational. A one-off sum of 230 euros must be added to this amount for the contractual holiday period. The increase will be paid in part on the minimums (90 euros), in part as a separate element of the remuneration (10 euros), i.e. not affecting the contractual institutions, and in part it will strengthen the bilateral nature of the sector (4 euros). The agreement is closed by the common notices signed on 3 December last to solicit government policies on a series of strategic issues for the sector (including labor costs, infrastructures and legality) and the commitment of the parties from today to the next renewal to modernize the contract to align it with the changes taking place within the supply chain.

As the unions explain, it is the first time that all 24 employers’ associations have signed together and “the constitution of a bilateral commission has also been agreed between the parties which, after the definitive approval of the agreement, will have to work for the reform of the national collective labor agreement. and carry out the necessary interventions for its modernization. Finally, it was agreed to incorporate the common notices shared in December 2020 into the contract ».
According to the trade unions “it is an important result. The value of this signature, taking into account the delicate economic phase in which this renewal takes place, is represented by the consolidation of the contractual uniqueness and by the expansion of the audience of recipients that goes from the truck driver to the rider, reaching almost one million workers and making it one of the national reference contracts in the Italian collective bargaining scene ».
